New York City Critical MassCM Logo

This page is intended to help PROMOTE Critical Mass in New York City.  The City of New York has taken legal action against others who have been promoting Critical Mass.  We think it is an injustice to attempt to interfere with a celebration that promotes a pollution-free form of transportation.  We hope that other webpages will spring up promoting Critical Mass until it becomes impossible for the City of New York to shut them all down.

Critical Mass is a monthly celebration of bicycles and other nonpolluting means of transportation, exercising our right to the road. Critical Mass is a movement, not an organization; no two riders participate for exactly the same reason. New York City's first Critical Mass was in 1993.

The last Friday of the month, every month, 7:00 p.m., starting at Union Square Park North. Come along for the ride!
