Support the Bellingham DU 3
Support a woman that was arrested for attempting to educate US military recruits about the dangers of DU
Ellen Murphy was arrested in November 2002 for passing out information
about Uranium-238 weapons (commonly called Depleted Uranium) at an Armed
Forces recuiting center in Belingham, WA (an hour south of Vancouver, BC).
She was arrested along with two other women (the "DU 3").
At the subsequent trial she was found guilty and fined. Doug Rocke,
a major in the US Army reserve and expert on D.U. weapons testified at her
trial but the jury was not allowed to hear his testimony.
Ellen is appealing her conviction. If you would like to support
Ellen, please drop off a donation at the Whatcom Peace Center (1226 Cornwall
Ave. in downtown Bellingham). Checks should be made out to her lawyer “Joe
Pemberton” and write “Ellen Murphy Defense Fund” in the memo line. Checks
